5th Annual Stage Road Walkabout

Get your holiday shopping done early this Halloween weekend by taking a classic fall country stroll and buying from local craftspeople and artists. Visit four open houses all within a mile of each other on historic Stage Road in Cummington, MA. Start at 494 Stage Rd or 615 Stage Rd. to do the 2 mile round trip tour, on October 28/29, 11 am to 5 pm.

494 Stage Road — Leni Fried Printmaking, Mike Augspurger Bicycleworks, Steven Jones Pottery:
Leni Fried, an artist of over 30 years debuts her monoprints, cards and affordable art for all seasons (www.lenifriedprintmaking.com) .

This is also the home of The Bagshare Project (www.thebagshare.org).
Mike Augspurger has been in the bike industry for over 30 years. Bicycle frame repair is a specialty.  (www.oneoffhandcycle.com)
Find out about Mike and Leni’s new venture in Adams, MA, The Old Stone Mill Center of Arts & Creative Engineering (in progress). A Zero Waste Maker space housed in an 1860 former woolens mill (www.oldstonemillcenter.org)
We are pleased to host potter Steven Jones a guest artist. He will have his colorful and unique hand thrown functional stoneware pottery and antique tile. It’s a ‘must see’ and perfect for holiday gifts or a gift you just can’t give away!

523 Stage Road — Long horn cattle viewing and refreshments at West View Farm. The Old Colonial is the site of the former Stage Road Tavern. Treats will await you at the top of the hill.

556 Stage Road — Gordon’s Fold Highland Cattle,  Eric Driver has continued his grandfather Gordon’s tradition of grazing these animals on this land. Look for their long horns and shaggy manes.

615 Stage Road — BFK Designs by Bona Fiske Kidston. Mittens, holiday wreaths and more made from recycled materials. Cozy, plush mittens in Nordic and other patterns.
